Not just for the rich and famous!

Let's get this off our chest. The hotels are to Santorini what the pyramids are to Egypt or the Eiffel tower to Paris, it is worth going for that experience alone!

Until we discovered Santorini we never paid much attention to the hotel we were staying in, let alone ever considered it a highlight of our trip.

For us, it was simply a place to sleep between all the daily activities, and nothing we thought of as an integral part of our vacation experience.

But that was before Santorini!

Santorini is famous for its high concentration of exclusive high end hotels.

You should not let this fact intimidate you, though, if you are on a budget. For the informed traveller there are always options, and Santorini is certainly no exception.

Find the best Santorini hotels too expensive? Go off-season!

If you have read our page on Santorini Seasons - When To Go then you know that the prices vary a great deal with the season.

In off-season, it is not unusual to find rooms and suites at half the high-season price.

This could be your chance to afford that dream suite with a private veranda sporting a volcano view and a jacuzzi!
