Santorini villas - luxury in private!

Unfortunately, we do not have any experience to share with you on this type of exclusive vacationing (not yet, anyway, but watch this space...).
We have, however, tried to collect some of the information that's out there and mixed it up with 'things we heard and saw' during our visits to Santorini.
First, though, we should make it clear that by private villa we do not mean renting a house from a private owner. What we refer to is a hotel villa, with the full amenities and services of a hotel.

The Tsitouras Collection
Each villa in The Tsitouras Collection has been decorated with a different facet of Greek history, infusing each one with a particular personality.
There are 6 private villas ranging from €470-3,500 per night.
The houses all feature domes, vaults, interior windows and skylights characteristic of Santorinian architecture.
This is combined with tasteful decoration, modern furniture, antiques and some of Tsitouras's private collections of objets d'art including ancient amphorae, Byzantine icons, old maps, mariner's chests, paintings, etc.
This hotel is proud to have had many international A-list celebrities as guests.

Volcano View VIP Villas is part of the Volcano View Hotel located 2,5 km south of central Fira.
There are 5 private villas with swimming pools.
The hotel is built in the Cycladic architecture style in a multi level set-up with breathtaking views of the volcano, caldera basin and romantic sunsets.
